stoicism
An ancient philosophy centered on the idea that you control your judgments, not external events. Practices include self-reflection (examining your thoughts and reactions), cultivating inner peace (finding calm through acceptance rather than external achievement), and distinguishing what's in your power from what isn't. Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, and Seneca are its most influential voices. The goal isn't suppressing emotions — it's not being enslaved by them.
